...not true at all. The right to keep and bear arms was because we were going to have a well regulated militia and citizens had the right to possess the weapons with which to resist that same militia.
The Third amendment prohibits quartering of soldiers in private homes. The second amendment gives citizens the right to possess the weapons to resist that as well.
The Fourth Amendment (Amendment IV) to the United States Constitution prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and requires any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause
...that is to keep the aforementioned well regulated militia from confiscating crops, livestock ect from being confiscated and eaten by the well regulated militia.
