I'm sick of the "evil white man" narrative.

Last night, my son participated in UVA's 150th Anniversary celebration. He was up on stage with his choir - along with some professional Opera singers, dancers, an actor portraying Thomas Jefferson, university officials, the governor of Virginia, and a bunch of other fine folks. But the night was DOMINATED by talk of slavery... stories of how a great-great-great-great grandmother was held down and beaten by Thomas Jefferson's daughter, stories about how Monticello and UVA were built by slaves, how none of this would have been possible without blacks, etc. The student body President, a nice looking white woman, stood and spoke about how she wants "to help students of all identities". WTH IS THAT? It was like that all night. It was dull, disgusting and deeply offensive.

WE ARE *NOT* OUR SKIN COLOR. That's the lesson people need to be taught. But the left is teaching the precise opposite, not missing an opportunity to ram guilt down the throats of all the white kids.

As for the "students of all identities," I would say that while we are not our skin color, we ARE our behaviors, including our mis-behaviors and perversions. That's what I think of people who are struggling with their "identities."

Today, I've got a different story, a refreshing story, about Trump's embracement of Columbus day. But just look at how the author chooses to end the article.

The thing is, I don't expect this to ever end. I think that from now on, EVERY major event whites value is going to be heavily watered down with the preaching of "equality" while simultaneously bashing whites, their culture and history, and promoting blacks, their culture and contributions. It's pathetic - especially since black culture, in today's America, is downright shameful.

I drove home last night and had to stop at a light. A car in the turn lane next to me had its radio on, blasting rap for everyone else to enjoy. Every other word was "Niggah." Niggah this, niggah that. What a bunch of hypocrites.

Trump proclaims Columbus Day, without Obama's qualms

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is proclaiming Monday as Columbus Day — without any of his predecessor's qualms.

The president's proclamation Friday directs the U.S. to celebrate his discovery of the Americas, noting "the permanent arrival of Europeans ... was a transformative event that undeniably and fundamentally changed the course of human history and set the stage for the development of our great Nation."

Trump's proclamation only praises Columbus, Spain and the explorer's native Italy.

It contrasts with President Barack Obama's document almost exactly a year earlier. Obama's proclamation acknowledged Columbus' spirit of exploration. But he said the nation should "also acknowledge the pain and suffering reflected in the stories of Native Americans who had long resided on this land prior to the arrival of European newcomers."
