Okay, that ruins one of the strongest arguments against the "multiple shooter" theory.
What are the arguments for multiple shooters? The videos of flashes from the 4th floor. Not enough casings on the floor for the thousands of rounds we know were fired. Police reports that Paddock intended to escape... which he clearly did not do.
Police reports say that Paddock's cheap bump-fire guns were all found to be jammed. Conspiracy nuts say Paddock only got off a few rounds before he, himself, was killed by . . . someone else. Someone who needed a suicide to be found in the room. The bulk of the shooting was occurring on the 4th floor, where a window had been removed and was later replaced.
Is this feasible? I don't see how. The problem I have with it involves SOUND. Guests on the 4th floor didn't report nearby gunfire, but guests on the 31st and 32nd floor most certainly did. I haven't heard heard them say that there were breaks in the 32nd floor gunfire, either. It seems to me that if Paddock had stopped firing after a few rounds while the onslaught continued for another ten minutes, his neighbors at the hotel would be very much aware of that fact.
Still... it's interesting that the windows were removable.
