De, I have only welded iron. I rebuilt
railroad cars for a couple of years.

I have the impression that there's more to it than that. I've heard terms such as Gas Metal arc welding, Spray arc welding, Short Circuit welding and Oxy-acetylene welding. I need to know about alloys used to bind different metals (which alloy to use, when). Types of flux and when to use them, bevels, joints, etc. There are undoubtedly some important safety concerns that I'll have to learn. And I need to know what types and brands of equipment are needed.
