Chose to use Short term medical plans and have to pay the TAX penalty, which comes right out of your income taxes.
I finally made the switch to medishare, a faith based program that uses the PHCS health network for providers which is the nation's largest.
Costs us about $470 per month for both of us but it keeps my money with me, not being donated to the gubmint. It has an exemption because it is faith based.
I'll use this until I decide I want to get on medicare coverage.
We don;t go to doctor but maybe once or twice in a tear if we really are bad sick, plus they have free doctor consultations if ya want to use one of their on call doctors by video conference. No cost to the member.
Anyway, for the places where BUCKWHEAT CARE has disappeared, or exorbitantly cost prohibitive, I recommend medishare for people of faith....
