Are you using satire for exageration, DE ?

Of course the global warming mongering is a hoax - that's what my post clearly stated; what I have ALWAYS stated. Never have wavered an iota on that issue.

As to the effects of an EMP - what say ye to the riddle of the Enola Gay (later post) ?

re: "Just like the 'global warming' hoax."

I was with you right up until that point. Then you went too far.

Global warming is a HOAX. It's either not real, or it's life-threatening SO far down the road that nobody alive today need ever worry about it.

The risk of an EMP attack is quite real. Even an EMP attack by North Korea. The article's weakness is that it seeks to quantify the fatalities and is clearly trolling for readers. However, I thought it was interesting since I've always wondered how many people WOULD die from an EMP over the U.S.

While I don't think 90% is correct (and you will note that the experts actually said "up to" 90%), I don't know what the actual number would be but I think it would be higher than most people believe. Almost certainly higher than *you* believe. If a significant portion of the country were impacted, people would be dying rapidly within 60 days.

Puerto Rico might be revealing. The United States is there with manpower and money, so casualties will be minimal, but I hear that full power restoration will take six months. Three weeks after Maria, just sixteen percent have power -- and they're the low hanging fruit, the easy ones.
