Yesterday, I was on some site and an ad appeared for "the world's smallest videocamera." I'd just noticed last week that the tiny videocamera on Tophatter is available at Wal-mart.com for about $13. (I don't recommend it. It takes terrible videos.) And, a while ago, an ad appeared for a Yazole watch. Just now, I was on Drudge and the site served up an ad for Sportsmansguide.com - after yesterday's discussion about the AR-15 sale.

Did you ever get the feeling that you're being watched? Okay, I know that cookies are the likely culprit, but I think it's valid to say that I'm being RECORDED, even if only by the cookies.

I like my plan for New Hampshire. I'll have a Windows 2000 or Windows 7 computer permanently OFF the network. Another will be on the internet but only running linux. Everything personal or sensitive will stay on the disconnected Windows box.

I hear that there is a type of linux available now that starts every new process in its own virtual space, unable to reach the rest of the system on which it runs. (The space becomes a virtual linux device.) That space can be initialized at will - for instance, at the end of every browsing session.

I'll have to look into it further. It sounds like a good thing.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
