You are correct DE. I shouldn't have said all their stuff was junk. I have bought some good stuff as well, and I have also thrown 2 items in the garbage when I got them LOL. Win some lose some......

Great little radio........good buy

I figured out to win bods LOL. Watch one going twice and see what pops up. If you are first bid it only takes 90 seconds to win. Most don't even see it..........


HAHA I just found something new with them. I was waiting for a going twice, and I had my cursor hoovering over a bid button on something else, and the damn site placed a bid for me. I DIDN'T EVEN have my finger on the clicker. Beware of that. It was a hair braid curler LOL

I bought this (see image, below) little AM/FM/MP3 player for $8.00 ($2 + $6S&H) and am really happy with it. It has great sound, it's easy to use, it's rechargeable, it's thin (less than an inch, about the size of a flip-phone) and it plays my music easily. I'm listening to talk radio on it right now.

So, not everything on Tophatter is junk. But you have to be careful and keep your bids low.

If you're in the market for a handy, rechargeable radio, I'd recommend this unit. DEFINITELY worth $5. Definitely worth $8, imo. (Most of the internet sites I see are charging more than $10.)

My only complaint with it is that it doesn't play well while charging. It picks up noise and is unintelligible (on AM, at least. I haven't tried it in other modes.) It also doesn't play well while sitting alongside active electronic devices. I have to keep it away from my laptop even when the laptop is operating on battery.
