I didn't know bumblebees could sting again, like wasps. Maybe that helps explain micro's desire to kill the poor things, so needed for pollination. :o)

Actually wasps and bumblebees can sting you multiple times. Their stingers are smooth. Honeybees can only sting you once. Their stingers are barbed, and remain embedded in your flesh - pulling out the bees poison sac at the same time. That is why honeybees die after stinging you.
