...the states who over tax their citizens really like this deduction. It means they pay big state tax and get it back in the form of a federal tax refund. This means that the blue states where taxes are outrageous get subsidized by red states where they are more reasonable. Just another transfer of wealth from red states to blue states. We're tired of carrying you guys. Pay ya own taxes.
