Yeah, I read this, yesterday. Briskman brought ALL of this on herself. She flipped off the POTUS, which, in my opinion, she has every right to do. However, as we are all very much aware, just because you have the right to do something does not mean you should do it. The photo of her flipping off the President's passing motorcade was from behind, while she was riding a bike on the side of the road. The photo does not show her face. She could have easily remained anonymous, BUT she chose to publicize that the photo was of her ... and crow about her act ... on social media. Briskman then proactively went to her boss to make her employer aware of her actions. I must admit ... I am VERY tired of people subsequently feeling some overwhelming need to apologize for expressing their opinions ... it seems to happen almost every day! If you say what you mean, then mean what you say and don't back down. From that perspective, I admire Briskman for holding firm to her opinion by doubling down. HOWEVER, by standing firm, she also needs to understand that The First Amendment does NOT protect anyone from the collateral, social consequences of publicly broadcasting one's views. So, she needs to pull on her big girl panties, quit acting like a whiny little bitch, and ... from her perspective, anyway ... take the bad with the good.
