While these old knds of jobs are being jettisoned, coal jobs are seeing desperate attempts to resurrect them. A company sees where its business is going and acts to its own self interest, but there are still maggots out there who believe force feeding extinguished jobs on the backs of the American people is a jobs program, and those who get them are basically on government supported welfare, as well as destroying environmental regulations meant to restrict pollutants from these “welfare jobs”, while also hurting long term alternative energy jobs, which were the world will be in the future.
The future AT&T sees is one of DirecTV Now, a service delivered over the internet for a monthly subscription, no contract required. I use FuboTV, a similar service, so I can watch world soccer games provided by the same channels cable and satellite try to get people to buy in packages, which are on the same way as the DoDo. It offers me most of the channels I get from Directv, from cnn and fox, msnbc, movies, whatever, on all my mobile devices, which I can also stream to my TV in full HD. What’s not to like?
So, these layoffs were planned a while ago, but they announced them right after the bonus marketing stunt.
Again, Trump is using the deplorables, because he knows these jobs are all dead, but he’s doing it for staying in office, against America’s long term growth and interests. Those kinds of jobs, will NEVER, EVER, COME BACK NOR EXIST IN FUTURE AMERICA.
