Unless I find a neighbor who welds, I doubt that. I have countless LITTLE projects in mind - such as welding blades onto an axle in order to make a water wheel. That could be it for a month. Then, the next month, I may try building a wood-burning generator, or affixing chains to a truck block so I can ground a Faraday cage, or creating a rocket stove, or making a windmill tower.
Or just making repairs as things break. micro got it right when he said that I want independence. If I learn how to weld, maybe I'll be the one the neighbors come to when they need something done instead of the other way around. That could be valuable.
