I should have caught it myself as I read Thomas Payne .

His original book Common Sense, Rights of Man. should imo be required reading for every American citizen. One of the greatest writings of the country which spelled out precisely why the colonies needed to become their own nation. I think I may re-read that again this week. It is on shelf two of my American history pre civil war library bookcase. You caused me to go and look at where it was . Thanks!
