Otoh, I think marijuana should not be legalized. In South Florida, being on the roads is a crapshoot. The accidents are everywhere, the crazies on the roads. A month ago I was hit by a car from behind, on the side of the road on a 25mph local access to road, 50 meters from my door, in my flip flops. I was just adjusting the gears in my shorts, and doing a road test outside my fkng door. The fkr who hit me claimed he didn’t see me with the sun in his eyes, but he was either playing with himself or with his phone, because he left a huge gash on the grass 20ft before he hit me. Bike destroyed, carbon cannot be repaired. Rear wheel came apart to pieces. He was increculous when I told him this bike was worth $10000.
Cops gave him a ticket for careless driving, destroying a hand made carbon racing bike, and told him he’d go to drivers ed, along with any fine. I still have a reducing bump under my knee where I guess it hit and rubbed the top tube of the bike when I got hit. This kind of thing happening REFOCUSES one’s mind. I’ve been riding and racing bikes since I was 15, never even touched one, high speeds or not, never crashed, until this fker remind it me that cars on the road are killing machines in the hands of morons. So, marijuana is out, for me. We got enough drunk drivers around, and this guy wasn’t either. He was just a schmuck. Add weed to him, and he is uncontrollable.
