It is obvious to me that the Tyler Durden never volunteered to join the military in any branch. That's okay.

Not one of us came back from a war looking for glory, handouts, thanks, congratulations, being put on a pedestal,
or expecting anything in return other than our GI benefits if we needed them.
I personally have NEVER used them. I am entitled to. I earned them.
I also have never tried to persuade anyone it is AMERICA's war or any other such crapola DURDEN is spewing.
I went because I wanted to. I felt personally it was the right thing to do.
I do not have to agree with the political stories that are created by politicians.
It's a damn good thing the farmers in the late 1700's were not concerned about the political ramifications or about being lauded as a hero when, OR IF, they returned home... You ALL would be British subjects now if DURDEN had his way.

If America is ever really attacked, who is this mama's boy gonna run to in order to protect his sorry low life ass? It's going to be those FORMER military men and women plus the current ones who will rise and run toward the battle instead of away from it.

BECAUSE WE WANT TO.... We believe in sacrifice for our country, and not just a few dollars on taxes. WITH OUR OWN LIVES if need be..

Too many free speaking idiots like Durden feel like they somehow have been endowed with OMNISCIENCE, an attribute only GOD ALMIGHTY has.
Durden must think or believe he is somehow imbued with this same ATTRIBUTE that the CREATOR of the UNIVERSE has, among others.
I do not ask ANYBODY to thank me for anything. I did NOTHING for YOU! I did this because I wanted to and felt that if the country was in a war and needed men to fight and I was going to be drafted anyway, I may as well go and get in the middle of it.
I almost did not make it home. So what!

It is obvious this worthless piece of crap would never stand up and fight if his country was being attacked or invaded.
He would flee and run like a scared little schoolgirl but he feels free to criticize and LIE about those who did, have lived long afterwards never wanting anything, going about quietly building a life and enjoying grandchildren,
while he somehow feels compelled to write articles as if he was in our minds.....
Hope this piece of work gets an earful from others. He isn't worth talking to or reading in my opinion..
THAT article is OFFENSIVE to the MAX and the conclusions and OPINIONS this dumb ass makes, are absolutely wrong for the vast majority of the retired veterans...
