A young man and his grandfather watched the president's speech on television holding forth on his "Economic Stimulus" plan.
When it was finished, the young man, looking perplexed, turned to the old man and said, "Gee, grandpa, it sounds all right but it was hard to take in all the details. What do you think?"
"Well," the old man replied, "sometimes when a thing seems complex and is presented with a lot of political rhetoric, I try to think of an analogy."
"Can you think of one that applies to the president's plan?"
"Yeah, I can. And I think it fits pretty well. The president's plan can best be compared to caring for the hungry sparrows by feeding more oats to the horses."
