Fox’s Top DC Reporter Left After Sexual-Harassment Claims
Fox News confirmed in late December that its chief Washington correspondent James Rosen had left the network; but they gave no reason for his departure and mentioned nothing on-air. NPR reported on Wednesday, however, that Rosen’s exit came amid a string of sexual-harassment claims made against him by fellow Fox employees.
“[Rosen] had an established pattern of flirting aggressively with many peers and had made sexual advances toward three female Fox News journalists, including two reporters and a producer,” NPR’s David Folkenflik reported, based on conversations with eight of Rosen’s Fox colleagues. In one alleged incident,
Rosen groped a new Fox reporter’s breast in a limo and attempted to retaliate for her rebuffing his advances by stealing her sources.
This past spring he allegedly attempted to kiss a young female reporter in an elevator, and urged her to keep it quiet after she rejected him.
