Ribit, unfortunately, you are correct. Fortunately I do not have typical health insurance. I do have Christian Care cost sharing and I don't believe they operate in the same manner. So far I have discovered that only a phone call notification is required for going to a specialist, or having a procedure, like the one I had.
I have a second one scheduled, but that may change based on my discussion s face to face with doctor who stuck me about half a million places up and down the sciatic nerve across top of my BUTT near the tailbone height.
She was trying to quiet that down but unfortunatle, that sciatic nerve works just like electrical wire. It is a conductor of pain which is coming from the center left part of low back due to some growth I have just "severely impinging on the nerve root with mass effect" according to the radiologist. Unless that gets taken care of, I see no way to ever get this to stop....
So we will see. The first Ten grand is mine.... I already have spent about a third of that.
Beldin's thought process is exactly spot on. I literally cannot drive so I cannot get to my clients and I have one just starting a new facility with new equipment he has never used before and I need to be there to walk him through it... Can't because of the shooting pain when sitting in a car seat, or any other chair or couch for that matter.
De is also spot on. LAst thing is surgery if ya can get better.
What I did not tell y'all was that I already went to therapy and the head therapist said "there is nothing we can do for you" He sent a letter to the doctor.
They cannot help my condition. Unfortunately surgery is required here. It is MINIMAL INVASIVE. It could take as little as a few weeks for recovery. I have been down this path 5 years ago. Just on my right low side then. This is opposite side and requires less surgical stuff than before.
But the radiologist report is very clear and leaves nothing to the imagination. It is very straightforward on describing exactly what is causing the pain.
So I need a heart to heart chat with the Doc Tuesday next week.
