Hi De!

One day I may look into them again.
This is my second full year with Met. Their rates are very competitive. I have full coverage with low deductibles on BOTH vehicles and HIGH levels of coverage in case we ever were to be involved in an accident and it was our fault.
I am talking aboy half million dollar umbrellas.

We also jack up the medical portion which would cover us in case we needed it. Those are zero dollar deductibles and are cheap. We carry $25,000 per person on both vehicles.
It adds about $40/yr tot he cost but is well worth it... Especially if you wind up going to hospital emergency and need tests done...
Something EVERYONE should consider doing.

We have all the uninsured & under-insured coverages as well. Our cost per year for both vehicles is about $900 dollars.... Cannot complain and Met Life is a great company. I was with Farmers before Met.

I will look into USAA maybe next year....

Appreciate the tip....

micro off to be walked.... Arffff....

Re: “I am insured by Met Life Auto and Home.”

I'm surprised you aren't with USAA. I've always been with USAA and have never had cause to regret it.

Every so often, I get a call from an insurance company claiming that it can lower my rates. I tell them I'm with USAA. Their response? "Oh, okay. Thank you then. *click*"

BTW, I've never had an accident that was my fault. I was in a multi-car accident once when I was rear-ended in stopped traffic and the guy at fault turned out to be uninsured. I had uninsured motorist coverage so USAA paid for my damage. (I needed a new bumper).

My wife was sideswiped and her car totalled - but it was, again, the other guy's fault and his insurance covered it.

And we've used USAA's roadside assistance (including towing) several times - due to various breakdowns we've had. That coverage has been a lifesaver. It costs $7 every six months.
