I had Allstate screw us around probably 20 years ago like that in similar circumstances.
I canceled their insurance and went with another company.
Farmers is another one that won't really go to battle for you either even when the police reports state the other person is definitely at fault AND there is a witness.
Right now I like Met. Have no reason not to. They took care of my parking lot hit and run away with ease and over the phone. I was impressed. And my rate did not change either....
