Democrats said they wanted a long-term extension of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) ... a policy issue completely unrelated to a government funding bill ... so, the House Republicans included a rider in the just-passed funding bill to extend CHIP for six years. DACA doesn't expire until March 5, 2018 ... so, there is still plenty of time address DACA and negotiate a good-faith compromise that includes the wall, an end to chain migration, and an end to the visa lottery. BUT, Schumer and his radical, left-wing base would rather shut down the federal government and the Children's Health Insurance Program (that Schumer says is "vital") on behalf of illegal immigrants. Let that sink in for a moment ... Schumer and the Democrats choose to go out of their way to support illegal immigrants over American citizens. Okay. That's fine. At least everyone knows where the anti-American Schumer & Co. stands. The Democrats, especially Schumer, OWN this "government shutdown" - The Schumer Shutdown.
