Hmm. The hardest job I ever had was also the lowest paying. The next hardest was a big improvement: Minimum wage. And it kept going from there, with the jobs getting easier and the pay getting higher.

That's because high pay isn't tied to working hard. It's tied to working smart. People who make huge amounts of money work very smart. What they do is scarcely work at all, but it's needed and not very many have the required skills.
