Ranking Democrat Schiff accuses GOP of altering Russia eavesdropping memo before sending to White House
Adam Schiff, top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Wednesday night that the Republican-written Trump-Russia memo the White House is reviewing isn't the same memo that committee Republicans voted to release this week and that it should be withdrawn immediately. But a spokesman for Republican Chairman Devin Nunes called the changes minor and said Schiff's reasoning was "a bizarre distraction from the abuses detailed in the memo."
The dispute comes as the White House is reviewing whether to make the memo public over the objections of congressional Democrats, the FBI and the Justice Department, all of whom called it inaccurate and misleading.
