I recently updated my monitor to a 32" Dell, so I'm still occasionally surprised at the level of detail on images as the Vimeo video shows us... And no wonder that it was because of the great camera & $82k+ lens, much less the rest of the production.

Our early trips to LA basin left a lot to be desired, low visibility, etc. Then I came down for some company training, caught a good clear time, where all the surrounding mountains are visible, huge difference. More recent trips, aided by GPS, again, pretty nice, a chance to check out the Gettys, various other hot spots... But the traffic, there has to be a better way! So we try to avoid as best we can...

Anyway, it was good to see the city as it is today, it must be a try for the pilots in their day to day travels from heliport to heliport...

Great video. When I was a kid living back in Michigan and we would watch the old 'Dragnet' TV show, the opening scene showed the L.A. skyline and City Hall was the only tall building in the city.

City Hall was first surpassed as the tallest building in Los Angeles in 1964. By the time I first visited L.A. in 1977, it was already hard to pick-out City Hall when looking at the skyline.
