I used to get annoyed at CNN.com for only allowing reader comments on its labeled "OPINION" pieces. I found the policy cowardly since everything CNN publishes these days is opinion.
They fixed the problem. Now readers can't even comment to the Opinions. That figures.
CNN is currently making a big deal out of the Obama portraits. They're running an opinion piece called "Why the Obamas' newly unveiled official portraits matter". http://www.cnn.com/style/article/barack-michelle-obama-official-portraits-unveiled/index.html
I wanted to let them know that I agreed. The portraits will be Obama's only tangible legacy, after all. That's kind of a big deal. Oh well. They won't allow my comment.
(In the "intangible legacy" department, Obama left a hugely divided country, a nation that commands little international respect and widespread poverty, particularly among black people. But CNN doesn't want me to mention that either.)
