At a minimum, make the Dealers & manufacturers responsible, rather than let them hide behind the scenes. Blow it open, personal liability. You sell a gun, you are responsible for its use, safekeeping. Ive been around guns all my life, we had long guns for hunting, plinking, rare pistols, but I can see a collection, occasional firing out in the boonies, or gun ranges. The games played with semi-auto military surplus & look alike is the biggest headache, just flat out ban ;em, be done with it. Max out as a 2 or 3 shell clip other than law enforcement. Maybe 6 for revolvers. Shred all the rest... I've a few old clunkers around, guns I or my Dad, Inlaws or friends had, given to me, pistol my wife bought while I was overseas, I'm really tempted to run 'em all through the bandsaw, chop 'em up, toss 'em in the recycle bin. Haven't fired any in 20-30 years... We had guys on the job that were gun dealers on the side when it was simple they quit when liabilities rose up. They need to rise up Nationally. Stop killing the kids.
I imagine well how safe it feels to grow in Europe, Greece, our Grand daughters have gone to college in Amsterdam, Australia, no fear at all, sending them off... But sadly, we feel safer traveling all over the globe than we do in out own big cities, and lately even these smaller towns that the tragic garbage is happening.
Only about 3% of Americans own guns, and many of them each, which is why the industry is in bankruptcy mode. Not enough assholes to keep collecting crap. Otoh, there is always those who are ekigible to buy to kill. And one here, another there, it adds up.

I grew up in a gun free country. The only gun killings were with shotguns used for hunting. Yiu can’t kill too many with those, and the killings were all vendettas betwe3n families, lovers, etc. No mass murders, nothing. I ilke it that way.
Take all guns away. It will take a generation or two, but we will have a real solution to this problem, because IT IS A PROBLEM!
Kill the 2nd Amendment. It is meaningless this day and age.
