Hi Zim!

Not a police state.

I simply believe when a real live person does not act on real credible information that someone is likely going to kill a bunch of kids, and that killer goes ahead and does exactly what the FBI dude was told, then that FBI person has responsibility for the deaths of those kids.

He should be more than just fired from his job. He has the blood of 17 dead victims on his hands.

It simply is not enough to say "OOOPS, gee, I guess maybe that tip I got was for real" and all those who were killed are not coming back to life and all those families lives are destroyed. But he gets off scot free???

It won't end until people like this have some real accountability.... I do not see how that is entering into a police state... Can you kindly explain that to please? I really don't understand that.... Thanks Zim!

Micro> YOU BEAR responsibility.... Not just the shooter. He could have been stopped.... He should have been stopped. BUT a few people both in FBI and in Sheriff's office did not do their duty, their jobs, thier obligations to keep the people safe.

How far into a police state are you willing to go?

I agree, this clown should have been identified and 'defanged' . . .
But we also must take care not to allow the forces of
government to become too 'overbearing'.

(That is the sort of thing that the Obama administration
was working towards - so that they could punish those
who simply opposed them.)

Personally I like my earlier suggestion. Run every school teacher
and administrator through self defense and weapons usage classes.
Then take the twenty percent or so who have the aptitude and
the 'moral fortitude' and arm them with handguns and concealed
carry permits. Next time shooter gets shot sooner.
