Those whose families date to the War of Northern Aggression or earlier are unequivocal in their response: "Everything to the North of Fredericksburg, the North can just keep."

Who am I to question that?

P.S. Virginia has only been an interim stop, albeit a 13 year one, on the way from California to New England. I don't consider myself to be a Virginian and haven't learned very much about the state.

Southern Virginia.
1. Congrats on acquiring a place to live of your liking and
choosing.

Help me out here a little De. Virginia is a funny shaped state. I understand what epople mean when they say Northern Virginia, being the area where all those who free load with overpaid incomes on the teat of the Federal government Sow reside and vote overwhelming far left liberal.

Where approximately in Virginia is it considered Southern Virginia as opposed to Northern??

Then of course we have the Piedmont part of the State which is western toward Charlottesville and Lexington.

By Southern, would that be Richmond and points south of that???
Williamsburg Petersburg, Lynchburg, on down?

I am just trying o imagine where Virginia, as oddly shaped a state it is, becomes North, South, West, or East.

I am sure there is something somewhere which defines that but was wondering if maybe YOU or Zim might know...

I have relatives in Lynchburg and Southern Virginia Beach.
