Thanks for the pictures! Maybe I'll try the North Rim one day. I don't know, though. There's an awful lot in the Eastern U.S. that I have yet to see.

Most definitely.
One can easily spend a day just visiting all the
pulloffs along the South Rim.

But, yeah, the South Rim is more like scrub brush and
short bushes type things. The North Rim is about
a thousand or so feet higher, and it has real trees.

The South Rim, when the sun and colors are right gives
one much more scenic views. But the North Rim is also
very nice.
