Within fewer than a hundred years, nobody I know is going to care.

In 300 years, humanity will likely have such technology that we can set the planetary thermostat to whatever temperature we like. And if we can't, it'll be because we had a war that knocked us back to at least the stone age - in which case, again, nobody is going to care.
