The "War on Cash" is a grand slam issue for totalitarianism.
We all know by now that our digital communications are being sent to government databases for storage.
We still, however, have a modicum of privacy left with the ability to use cash. All of our economic decisions are not under constant government surveillance.
Obviously, governments, banks, and authoritarians of all stripes want to eliminate this as well, and what a world that would be for them. They would be able to document, surveil, control, and tax every single financial transaction.
The power would be mind-boggling.
As is the case with all authoritarian government, it has its corporate partners. Silicon Valley, and especially Apple's Tim Cook, want in on the action.
