I could see that. If Amazon is using its retail business to fund and dominate unrelated industries, the practice could definitely be viewed as anti-trust. It could be forced to divest itself of Web Services, for instance.
I don't see any basis for breaking up its retail business, though. Size alone does not constitute a monopoly. Even there, the monopoly would need to be shown to have leveraged the monopoly to give itself an unfair advantage. Amazon (the retailer) does still have competition... but less and less, year by year.
Isn't Microsoft doing the same thing with its Cloud Services? No one speaks of breaking up Microsoft (anymore).
