We made it to Michigan OK but the weather has not been good to us. We're staying at my wife's sister's house down near the Ohio border but was going to drive-up (250 miles North) to our hometown on Friday however the weather has been terrible. They had 14 inches of snow last night up there and about 100 miles North they've had ice storms, so we had to cancel trying to get to the birthday party. Now it's raining down here, but it was still nice yesterday and so we went into Detroit (75 miles away) and went to the Henry Ford Museum and to Fair Lane, the home of Henry Ford. It was cool but no rain or snow. We didn't go to Greenfield Village, which is next to the Ford Museum, because of the cool weather as that is completely an outdoor experience where the Museum was all indoors. Got lots of pictures of historical items.

We'll be returning home on Wednesday, weather permitting Wink

Early tomorrow morning my wife and I fly to Michigan for 9 days. This coming Saturday, up in our hometown, we're attending a 100th birthday party for a longtime family friend and technically a 'relative' (via a couple of in-laws).

Now today here in SoCal it was in the 90's but back in Michigan it's still winter with predictions of snow and/or freezing rain on the day of the party. I had to dig out my overcoat, which I haven't worn in nearly two years.
