My wife and I have been busting our tails these last few days trying to box everything we could, lugging boxes to the garage and then, today, picking up a U-haul at 4 p.m. I loaded it in six hours. I guess I'm getting better at it!
We're supposedly getting up at 4 a.m. to take care of the last minute things - moving items we weren't comfortable putting in the U-haul tonight, throwing out our mattress (we already sold the rest of the bedroom set), emptying and cleaning the 'fridge, vacuuming and getting the apartment absolutely spic-n-span prior to the landlord's walk-thru at 9 a.m.
Then we're gone.
I'll be popping in when I can, but it may be a while. Before I leave, I just want to let you guys know that I've enjoyed our daily discussions more than you can know. They're a big part of what got me through these last 13 years - the time since I left my friends and family in California. I'd like to say more, but it's fairly late and I'm totally exhausted.
