Library regulars really are all alike. I had to return to "The Big City" today since the mailbox and post I bought yesterday doesn't meet the Post Office's new specifications. They want new residents to put in boxes that can hold packages - like, BIG ones - so I have to return the conventional mailbox I bought yesterday and probably spend three times as much. It's a good thing someone stopped by to give me guidance. I'd have been annoyed if I'd installed the wrong one and had to throw it out.
The mailwoman (mailman? malewoman?) told me that the larger box will actually pay for itself pretty quickly in added convenience. No word as to whether that added convenience is for me or for her.
We also need to order a new headlight for my wife's minivan, so we're in the library again. And . . . what to my wandering eyes should appear? Ghaaa! Get me some Brillo so I can scrub 'em out! That's a WOMAN (I think.) This is a nice library, but the clientele (many of whom I see almost every time I visit) remind me a little too much of snapits' old haunt.
Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
