Z - Back in '79 when we visited Greece , we had with up one of our group's mother, she was Greek, was great as an occasional interpreter as we traveled on this Ancient Greece tour. As we were on the cruise part, we stopped to go to see Ephasis, Turks came aboard, checked everyone's passport, before we could go ashore. Anyway, our Greek lady was truly afraid, would not go ashore with us, even with her son's family.
So seeing what you wrote, the video, I can well understand her fears. Thank you, its always good to have our eyes opened.
I still have the 300 slides I took on that trip, need to get busy and scan them, or maybe digitize with a slide adapter on one of my Nikon's.. Lots of great memories on that trip, we've always wanted to go back, on our own, but it hasn't happened yet..
Again. thanks for the eye opener, wish I could read the rest of the article.
