I am not an American automobile fan and have not been since my final debacle with a Monte Carlo from the mid nineties.

I loved the car. Hated the mechanicals. Garbage.

That said, a lot has changed since 2005. GM is actually manufacturing decent cars once again. Buick and Chevy are making ultra competitive vehicles that are at the top and near top of their class. They have learned something.

IMpala and Malibu and Cruz are all excellent cars. The Silverado is a first rate pick up. Buick makes outstanding cars.

THAT said, I will still not purchase another car made by the big three.

WHY?

That old union mentality of the US autoworker has no pride. It is a crapshoot.

In any event, just trying to pass on some info that 2005 was a long time ago and things do and have changed.
