The tweet - which you can view here - was swiftly deleted, as was a follow-up in which she attempted to clarify her position.

"TO BE CLEAR this is about letting rescue pets kiss your mouth," she said in the subsequent short-lived tweet. "Oh jeez is it only Tuesday?"

Still, her attempts to erase the record were not quick enough for eagle-eyed Twitter users who managed to snap screenshots for posterity. ...
