I've been to California a few times. I remember seeing the redwoods,
(Sequoia I think it was). Monterey California was pretty nice. (My brother
was out there at the time. I loved the aquarium they have there.)
Death Valley was also pretty interesting.

But . . these days . . Californica? I don't think so.

Yep, I like that better. But you're right about the canyon not being as distinctive. I'll probably give it a try one day - if it has trailer camping at a reasonable nightly price.

You still need to see Yosemite, as I recall. Put that on your list before your eyesight begins to fade.

BTW, this is going to be the first year that I'll [probably] be seeing the turning of the leaves in New England. I've been here so many times, but never in September. I'm told that it's very pretty.
