This thread makes me think of a billboard I see on the way home from the office. It's a billboard advertisement for Coors. Its message is tailored to Texans ... shows the face of a rugged guy wearing a sweat-stained cowboy hat and the tag line says, "We don't answer to anyone."
Now, I have been known to enjoy an ice cold Coors (banquet, NOT light) from time to time and I appreciate the nod to the tough spirit of individualism that makes Texas the powerhouse that it most certainly is, BUT ... "We don't answer to anyone"? ... wrong ... yes, yes we do answer to someone ... at least one Someone ... probably more.
We humans are willful fools. We want to go our own way - damn the consequences! At least, that's what we tell ourselves in the early going. Though, it is "funny" how few are actually willing to acknowledge and accept the consequences of their own actions once those aftereffects ... no matter how predictable they may be ... come to bear.
So, libtards and anarchists, who ... more often than not ... don't believe in God or in rational, responsible, civilized behavior, desperately desire to flex their narcissistic pride and turn informed culture on its head just for the hell of it - no matter how demented their way might be. Meanwhile, oppressive forces (Communists, Islamists, etc.) see such childish turbulence as opportunities to cause more trouble and grab power.
Humankind is a mess. Our own history will clearly and repetitively prove to us that something doesn't actually work and will result in very bad consequences, but we insanely forge ahead, anyway - like a moth to a flame. That's why Christ is here - to save us from ourselves.
In God's good time ...
