The internet provider out here missed its appointment again. They were supposed to come out today but texted to say that "Due to unforeseen circumstances, they'll have to reschedule for tomorrow."
That's the second time out of three appointments that they failed to show up. How do you think that goes over with homeowners who have jobs and, presumably, stay home from 8:00 to 5:00 (because that's as specific as the company gets about the time that it will arrive) waiting for these idiots to show up?
BTW, the one time the provider (Fairpoint) DID come out, they ran a cable from one side of the street to the other and then said that's all they could do since my conduit didn't have a draw string.
I think these guys are inept. Running a draw string wasn't that hard, and they SHOULD have had the equipment they needed to run one themselves.
BTW, Hughes is $10/month more than Fairpoint, and Hughes only promises to keep that rate for the next two years. So I am hoping that this thing with Fairpoint works out. I should know tomorrow.
