The title says it all: “ European tarriffs are killing the American jean”.

The gist of this article is about the now 37% of the EU on US jeans, up from 12%, of which their european parners picked the tab for half, and shared the tariff, but can no longer do that at 37%.
Specifically, this is from the Raleigh Denim Workshop, and Cone Denim in Grensgoro NC which has closed its doors. The bigger companies like Levi Strauss have moved to Mexico and Asia, and only small boutique shop jeans companies remain, whose jeans sell for $200 and over.
It is only 16% of US jeans that go to Europe, but as someone said “nothing is more American than jeans.”
Thanks, lying sack of shit Dotard.
