While, in general, I agree with some of the sentiments she expresses, I think that she doesn't belong in the NYT Editorial board. I think the NYT has made a huge mistake. They are basically adding fuel to the raging fire in America.
We need the NYT to stay the course, not get off the rails.
One thing is to say stuff, like we do here, and another is to address America with it. Some things she says need to be said, if not for the substance, but for the counter balance of what's happening in America, but not in one of the most respected and historic publications in America. One thing is to report on it, another is to embrace it.
So, while some things she says I can identify with, it also is prose, not what I think should happen in America, but what should be talked about and sorted out. In the end, the NYT does not need to carry that cross.
The NYT cannot allow themselves to be dragged into the cesspool of the Trump era.
