Aside from the issue with Nuance cheating me out of what would probably otherwise have been a years worth of customer support, and a very minor but predictable issue with the automatic date my template document used to insert into my articles, I'm very happy with Dragon 13 Premium. It does exactly what I had hoped it would do, and has noticeably improved speech recognition.

I'm now operating headset free, and will only rarely need to pull up my template file in order to insert special codes. Dragon has even added words for some of the special characters I use and can't find on my keyboard: ¢,°, §, etc.

It is, however, slow at times, particularly after I've been telling it to delete things. it sometimes waits 5 seconds or more before doing what I told it to do. It also sometimes puts in punctuation marks twice for no apparent reason.

It's not perfect but it's awfully good. For me it's going to be a big time saver.

I received and installed Dragon Premium today. All went well and it even converted my profile (the training and customization file that I had previously created for Dragon version 12.5). But, wow, did it ever take a long time! About 3 hours to install and convert. I do have an old computer, and that may have played a role. Everything looks good, though.

Upon startup, I received the Notification listed below. Okay. Having bought the product, they say they will only support it for another 4 months! That's pretty rude. I'm not worried, though. I don't expect it to break too soon even with whatever updates Microsoft might push my way. I used Dragon version 12 for close to 5 years and it was still working fine, right up until today, after all.
