I finally finished the picnic table. It took longer than it should've for a variety of reasons: I'm a rookie and I made mistakes; it rained an awful
lot; this isn't the only thing I've been working on. Who cares? It's the 1st thing I've built a long time and it was a success.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

I got up early (6 a.m.) and painted the wood for my latest project. This pic shows all of the pieces. It shouldn't be too hard to guess what I'm making. A clue: All pieces are 2x4s, and the long ones at the top are all exactly 6 feet.

I went with this color, btw, only because it's what Home Depot had in its "Returns" section. A gallon of indoor/outdoor Behr paint for $9.99 is a good deal these days. Red is appropriate for what I'm building, but it could as easily have been purple.

I still have to paint the bottom sides of the wood.
