I don't think the economy is running well, myself.

The economy is like a cup of tea. It's better without adding too much sugar.

Pushing for high growth means creating the bust a little later.

Right now, the model is simply to avoid paying bills and to lever the assets to the max.

The liabilities will appear in due course as they did in 2008.

And then we deal with the recession. Republicans love their boom-bust economics. I prefer steady as she goes.

With the economy running this well, the 35% that think we are going in the right direction is stunning. That should get Trump's attention.

The new Monmouth University Poll found that only 30 percent of respondents believe that Trump has hired the "best people," with 58 percent saying he has not.

Overall, 35% of Americans say things in the country are going in the right direction while 57% say they have gotten off on the wrong track. These results are basically in line with Monmouth’s findings over the past few months, although they are slightly more negative than June’s 40% right direction and 53% wrong track rating.
