If you have an iPhone you'll never take you Apple Watch off. I didn't think I'd ever get one but a year ago for Christmas (2016) my kids got me one and I love it. I get text messages, track the stock market, get calendar reminders, check my pulse (which is great at the gym when I'm doing cardio workouts), get news items, earthquake reports, answer my phone (Dick Tracy style) and it even tells me the time.
My only complaint is that you have to charge it every night, but since the last couple of updates, the battery life has improved significantly. Now when I go to bed I've usually still got about a 60% charge. When I first got it, it would be closer to 15% at the end of the day.
