Based on the current models looks like we will get 3-4 inches of rain (forecast cut in half as of this moment) and winds in the 30 mph range. I am ready - visited the liquor store and stocked up on bourbon - of course for medicinal purposes if needed Very Happy Also filled two propane tanks to run my generator that I bought in the spring - just in case. I am a little behind as ultimately I will (well a good electrician friend will) be set up to plug the generator directly into the electrical box so the whole house has juice. Obviously the 3500 watt generator will NOT run the whole house yet will handle the fridge - freezer and a TV as well as a light or two.

The plan is to do that this fall/winter when I expand a closet in an upstairs bedroom so IF need be I will use extension cords to power the fridge and freezer. Having natural gas is also a plus so I have heat via a fireplace and can cook on the gas stove. For $300 the Champion Power Equipment 100401 3500 Watt Dual Fuel RV Ready Portable Generator operates on gas or propane and is well worth the $$

Be safe out there y'all. Scooby & I are ready!!
