3500 watts is a good start.. Less than 35 amps. 110V current.

If Hydro_Gen had 2 of those with both wires going directly into his electrical box where the utility company runs theirs into for his home's electric service, then he would be in really great shape.

the 3500 watt generator will NOT run the whole house yet will handle the fridge - freezer and a TV as well as a light or two.

...ya gonna need a good digital antenna too. If the power goes off due to weather / debris / etc, the cable will be out also. If ya have a dish, good luck finding it.
